Function: Optical Engineering
Location: Woburn, Massachusetts 01801
Job   Description: Collaborate with other engineers in designing, fabricating, prototyping and characterizing optical and opto-electronic devices. Perform assembly of supporting electrical circuits. Make effective presentations of research results to prospective customers.
Qualification: Five (5) years of hands-on R&D experience in applied physics or optical engineering, with a very strong optics or optical instrument content related to steady-state fluorescence. Strong background in optical technologies, including optic assembly and optical detection. Good communication and team working skills. Prefer direct industrial experience with demonstrated transfers of technology to manufacturing. Prefer experience with optical characterization, opto-electronics design, and semiconductor lasers. Prefer some material processing experience. Advanced degrees are preferred but not required.
